T. Harrison "Tuffy" BryantVice President and COO of Development Counsel, Inc. (a DAPA Division)T. Harrison "Tuffy" Bryant has over 35 years of corporate and non-profit management experience. He has a BA in Speech and Psychology from Bethel College, St. Paul, MN and a BD from Bethel Seminary, with additional work at the University of Edinburgh. Mr. Bryant experience includes: seven years as Executive Director of Loring Nicollet – Bethlehem Community Centers in Minneapolis; four years as Executive Director of American Diabetes Association, Minnesota Affiliate; four years as the Midwest Regional Director for the National office of American Diabetes Association (ADA). In that role he was responsible for providing consultation, direction and oversight to the ADA affiliates in a 15-state region. In 1984 Mr. Bryant became the National Training Director for ADA with responsibility for directing all of the national and regional training initiatives of the Association. In 1986 Mr. Bryant left the non-profit world for the private sector. After three years as part owner and General Manager of Austin Lyman Advertising in Minneapolis, he joined Ark Development of St. Paul, MN, as a Senior Vice President. Responsibilities at Ark included designing and conducting feasibility studies, and directing capital and major gift campaigns. In 1994 Mr. Bryant and Jim Uden formed Bryant/Uden Associates, and conducted multi-million dollar capital campaigns in the East and Midwest. In 1995, Mr. Bryant joined Digi International, a $200 million developer of computer networking products. Initially recruited as Human Resource Director, three years later he became Director of Employee/Management Training and Development, responsible for creating Digi’s corporate-wide training initiative, Digi University.
